St. Gemma’s would like to say a very special thank you to award winning Kebabeesh in Greengates, Bradford, for again organising their annual charity evening on Tuesday 3rd of May in aid of the Hospice. Live entertainment was provided throughout the evening, which also included a delicious, authentic meal, raffle and auction. The evening raised a grand total of £1187.

Tracie Harrison, fundraiser for the Hospice says ‘for the third year running, Kebabeesh owner Jengahir Durrani has shown his incredible support for the Hospice by holding this fantastic evening. The guests enjoyed fabulous food and entertainment whilst also raising a wonderful amount of money that will allow us to continue to care for terminally ill patients and their families. We are extremely grateful to Jengahir and all of the staff and guests who attended.’
Jengahir Durrani began supporting St. Gemma’s three years ago after his mother, Zahida Shahnaz was cared for by the Hospice. The family were very grateful for the care and support St. Gemma’s provided to the whole family during that time.
St Gemma’s Hospice, based in Moortown, Leeds, provides specialist medical and nursing care for local people with life threatening illnesses, predominantly cancer, and support for their families too. Care provided is free of charge to patients and their families so St Gemma's relies on donations and local fundraising initiatives in the community.
